Noriko Kurotsu is a Senior Associate Attorney – Global Lead with McCown & Evans LLP.

Noriko advises organizations of all sizes on how to navigate immigration rules around the world. Noriko’s experience includes handling large and small scale international moves as well as short and long-term work authorization for a wide variety of industries including the engineering, esports, finance, retail, and IT sectors. She assists companies in developing internal global immigration compliance programs and provides immigration guidance to organizations wishing to expand its workforce abroad.

Education

Noriko graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian & Middle Eastern Cultures and in Art History. She received her Juris Doctor degree in 2005 from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as Articles Editor for the Minnesota Journal of Global Trade (now Minnesota Journal of International Law).

Admissions

Noriko is licensed by the State Bar of Minnesota and is authorized to practice federal immigration law. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Global Migration Section (GMS) and currently serves on its Steering Committee. Noriko has also served as the Vice-Chair of the AILA GMS 2019 Global Migration Forum and as the AILA GMS Publications Committee Chair from 2016 – 2018.
