Immigration Forms May Be Submitted Without Original Signatures

Effective March 21, 2020 and for the duration of the COVID-19 National Emergency, USCIS will accept all immigration benefit forms and documents with reproduced original signatures, including Form I-129, Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker. This means that a signed form may be scanned, faxed, photocopied or similarly reproduced. The form itself must still bear an original signature – not an electronic signature. Therefore, to facilitate the filing of petitions, after signing the original forms, please scan the signed forms and return them to the paralegal and attorney by email. (Originally signed documents should still be kept on file, as employers and applicants are required to retain the original, signed documents should they be requested by USCIS at a later date.)
